A Man, his son, and brother-in-law were killed in a road accident when an unidentified vehicle hit a motorcycle, while they were travelling on the Saoner-Pandhurna highway near Bhagemahari in Khapa Police Station area on Monday morning. According to police, Shivaji Parasram Sirsam (38), a resident of Wandli (Wagh) village in Katol tehsil, was riding with his 10-year-old son Lalit and Lalit’s maternal uncle Anil Ramesh Iwnati (40), who lived in Parsodi (Dikshit), Narkhed. They were en route to attend the funeral of Ramkali Dhanraj Sirsam in Jatamkhora village when the accident occurred.
 
An unknown vehicle collided with their motorcycle (MH-40/CV-6151) which caused all three to fall onto the road, and they sustained severe head injuries. Lalit and Shivaji died at the scene, while Anil was transported to Government Hospital at Saoner. Anil also succumbed to his injuries shortly after he was brought to the hospital. Upon receiving reports of the incident, Police Inspector Anil Raut and HC Mangesh Dharapure arrived at the scene with their team. Following post-mortem, the bodies were handed over to the families. Kelwad Police have registered a case and launched investigation to identify vehicle involved. 
 
Rider killed on Kanhan bridge
 
A motorcyclist was killed when a speeding bus hit a two-wheeler while overtaking it on Kanhan river bridge on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Sandip Ashok Raut (34), a resident of Modi Club, Kamptee. According to police, Sandip was heading towards home at 4 pm. A speeding bus (MH-40/CK-4155) came from behind and tried to overtake the two-wheeler. During the process, the bus hit the motorcycle and Sandip fell on the road. He sustained grievous injuries and breathed his last at hospital. Kanhan police have registered a case under Sections 106 (1), 281 of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita read with Section 184 of Motor Vehicles Act.
