Swimmer Ishwari clinches gold

CITY’S blind swimmer Ishwari Pandey won a gold and two silver medals in the ongoing 16th State-level Para Swimming Competition at Dombivili Municipal Corporation Swimming Pool in Kalayan, Mumbai. The competition is organised by Para Olympic Sports Association, Maharashtra. Ishwari, who trains under NIS coach Sanjay Batwe won the gold medal in the 50 metre breast stroke in junior category. She clocked a time of 1.30s. In the 50 metres freestyle event, Ishwari won silver medal finishing the event in 1 min and three seconds. In 50 metres back stroke, Ishwari won another silver with a timing of 1 min and 18 seconds. Ishwari is a member of Shark Aquatic Sporting Association and NIT Swimming Pool.
