Staff Reporter :

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) councillor of Ward number 48 of the city, Arvind Sharma whose video went viral in the city where he was accused of eve-teasing the women of the city has landed into trouble. In the video, he was beaten up by several women. As per information, the alleged action of him has attracted widespread criticism from socio political circles. Reacting to the same, his party, BJP has also sent him a notice asking him to submit a written explanation about the matter within three days. Significantly, an FIR has also been registered against him in the city. The notice sent by the party’s District President Sumit Pachauri to the councillor stated, “A video of yours is being viral which is tarnishing the image of the party.”

The notice further asked the councillor to submit a written clarification in this regard within three days along with witnesses else strict action will be taken. Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) also slammed Arvind Sharma, the councillor of the BJP. The party said that the act of the BJP councillor exposes the character of BJP leaders. Even before this, such acts of BJP leaders have been coming to light. The grand old party said that the present situation in Madhya Pradesh has worsened so much that now the sisters and daughters of Madhya Pradesh are afraid to even step out of their homes. Earlier, there was a fear of criminals but now we have to save our beloved sisters and daughters from BJP leaders too so that they can remain safe. There is no such thing as law and order left in the entire state. Chief Minister Dr Yadav, who is also the Home Minister, is busy with his own branding. No one has time to review the law and order.

The Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues are busy in the game of rapid transfers of departmental officers. This is the reason that the entire law and order has gone haywire and criminals are ruling the roost in MP. “Even the capital is not safe. The number of crime against women have increased in the state from the time that the Commissionerate system has been applicable in the city. Such incidents are grabbing the daily headlines of the newspapers. It is highly condemnable that the council of ministers which has five women ministers is not able to control such heinous crimes in the city,” the party said.
