"Navi Mumbai Airport will boon for people": Maharashtra CM Shinde after airport conducts inaugural landing of IAF C-295
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 11 (ANI):
Maharashtra Chief
Minister Eknath Shinde on Friday said that the Navi Mumbai Airport will
prove to be a boon for the people.
At the inaugural landing of the IAF C-295 at Navi Mumbai International
Airport, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde said, "Navi Mumbai Airport will
prove to be a boon for the people. Today C-295 successfully landed at
Navi Mumbai Airport. The Airport will be named Lokneta DB Patil Navi
Mumbai International Airport."
Inaugural landing of IAF C-295 took place at Navi Mumbai International
Airport on Friday. CM Eknath Shinde also flew in the aircraft.
"This will be the largest airport, which was inaugurated by the Prime
Minister, and today the first runway's test landing has taken place," CM
Shinde further added.
He mentioned that they have set a target to complete the airport by
March 2025, and commercial flight operations will commence then.
He asserted that his government is doing welfare work 'quickly',
adding that the Mahayuti government is fulfilling all its commitments.
"We are ready for the flight as well as for the fight. We do what we
say, we don't say what won't happen; let's see what happens in the
future. Our work is done quickly. We started Ladli Behan Yojana and now
money goes to the accounts of sisters quickly," Shinde added.
He highlighted the work done by the Mahayuti government in Maharashtra,
saying all the schemes initiated by their government have already been
launched.
"Our work is swift, not slow and sluggish. All the schemes we have
initiated have been launched quickly. Those who talk slowly later say
there's no money. We started the Laadli Behna Yojana, and money is being
transferred to the sisters' accounts promptly. Our plans are always
executed swiftly. We have worked to bring good days into people's lives.
The opposition has tried to halt many schemes, but I want to say that
no scheme will be stopped," CM Shinde stated.
Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the BJP's win in the Haryana
assembly elections, he said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leading
the country like a fighter on the global stage; one Modi is heavier than
all. This was evident in the Haryana elections; he is leading the
country as a fighter. We take pride in that."
The BJP is set to form its third successive government in Haryana after
it won 48 seats in the 90-member assembly as per the results announced
on Tuesday. Three independent MLAs also extended their support to BJP.
He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rajnath
Singh, stating that Modi is fighting against the opposition, and thanks
to the people's blessings, he is winning.
He counted the benefits of NDA governments in the state and Centre,
saying, "The benefits of a double-engine government in Maharashtra, the
Mahayuti government, are evident to all. All necessary approvals from
the central government have been received." (ANI)
