The Sanatan Dharma Yuvak Sabha will be celebrating its 73rd Dusshera festival on October 12 at the city’s historical Kasturchand Park. The event will begin at 4 pm with the worship of 50-60 foot statues of Raavan, Kumbhakarna and Meghnad, followed by cultural performances including ras garba and dhol tasha. Vishwa Mamatwa Foundation, the country’s first transgender group, will present a performance on ‘Ghar Aa Jao Ram,’ based on Manoj Muntashir’s works, stated Sanjiv Kapoor in a press conference at Kasturchand Park.
 
A thrilling light and sound play by Ashirvad Movietone will depict key Ramayan events including battle between Jatayu and Raavan, stated Narendra Satija. Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister and Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CM will be presiding over the event as chief guests. The event will conclude with colorful fireworks organised by the Sanatan Mahila Samiti.
