‘World Standards Day 2024’
with great zeal on Monday at
Radisson Blu Hotel.
On the occasion, a seminar
wasconductedunder theguidance of Hemant Ade, Director,
BIS Nagpur.
Ade, in his inaugural speech
said that the day honour the
efforts of thousands of experts
who developed standards in
fostering excellence, innovation and quality across all sectors.
The event also highlights
the importance of standardisation in driving sustainable
development goals and economic growth both in India
and globally. The theme of
World Standards Day 2024 is
‘Shared vision for a better
world’.“This yearit focused on
promoting awareness about
the role standards in ensuring
safety,quality andinnovations
in various industries contributing to national development goals,” he added.

Additional Commissioner,
NMC was the chief guest of the
programme.Shesaid that there
is need of positive dialogue
betweenindustryandscientific
community so that we can
come up with better solutions
for sustainable future growth”.
