BALODABAZAR,
THE Mahtari Vandan Yojana
has become a lifeline for
Pramila Chakradhari and her
daughter-in-law Leena
Chakradhari, members of a
potter family from Arjuni village, Balodabazar district.
While Pramila uses the
financial aid to purchase
essential materials for pottery, Leena manages household expenses more effectively, helping the family meet
everyday needs.
This scheme has not only
provided crucial financial
assistance but has also
become a symbol of selfrespect and empowerment
for both women. Malik Ram,
Pramila’s husband, earns a
living by making earthen
utensils, with Pramila actively assisting in the work.
Their
livelihood, rooted in traditional pottery, often faces
financial constraints.
Adding to the family's support, their son Umesh
Chakradhari works as a
labourer, while Leena handles household responsibilities. Despite being married
for only two years, the family has shown resilience in navigating financial challenges.
“The Mahtari Vandan Yojana, launched by Chief Minister Vishnu
Deo Sai for the welfare of women, has given us the support we
desperately needed,” Pramila said. “Though we worked hard,
financial hurdles often held us back. Now, with this aid, we are
moving forward.” Leena said
