Under the direction of Collector Sanskriti Jain and under the guidance of Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr Jaipal Singh Thakur, a free check-up camp was organised in the District Hospital premises, Seoni under the National Child Health Programme. Under the National Child Health Programme, 98 children from birth to 18 years identified with congenital heart disease were tested for echo cardiology. 37 children were found to have holes in the heart. 14 children were referred to higher centers and 21 children have been called for re-examination after 6 months. Along with this, 26 children were found normal. In the said free camp, echo test was done by DM Cardiologist, Dr K L Uma Maheshwar from Metro Hospital, Jabalpur. Children identified with heart diseases will be given free surgery under Mukhyamantri Bal Hriday Upchar Yojana and Ayushman Bharat Yojana. RBSK doctors and DEIC staff from all the development blocks were present in the said camp.
