12th convocation of Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramoday Vishwavidalaya 
 
The 12th convocation of Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramoday Vishwavidalaya was organised in a dignified manner at the campus of the University. University Chancellor and Governor Mangubhai Patel presided over the convocation ceremony. Chief guest on the occasion was Higher Education and Technical Education Minister Indar Singh Parmar. In this convocation, 438 students were awarded UG degrees, 335 students PG degrees, 26 Ph.D degrees gold medals were presented to 32 students and Nanaji medal to one student. Vice-Chancellor Professor Bharat Mishra presented welcome address and presented a report on the progress of the University. The convocation procession was led by Registrar Neerja Namdev. Members of Vidya Parishad and Managing Board, Dean of all faculties, were present in the procession. Proceedings of the function were conducted by Dr Lalit Kumar Singh. Addressing the gathering, Governor Mangubhai Patel remembered Bharat Ratna Late Nanaji Deshmukh. He said to all degree holders for not doing any work which is not in the interest of the society or the nation. This University is a dream of Late Nanaji Deshmukh and hence all activities should be done as per his philosophy. He advised students to remember their teachers, parents, society, nation even at pinnacle of their success. He asked students to contribute in nation building. Minister Inder Singh Parmar mentioned New Education Policy and highlighted the changes made in the convocation ceremony after NEP. Late Nanaji Deshmukh has aimed for conservation of Indian values in higher education. He was happy to share that MP has been successfully implemented NEP and is imparting value education to students. He mentioned that Gramoday Vishwavidalaya has taken important steps in this direction. Vice-Chancellor Professor Bharat Mishra said that in present scenario education includes research, publicity, resources generation, training. In the last 30 years, Gramoday Univerisy has worked on all these aspects. He said that ‘Gram Darshan; is not for show but for ‘Atmadarshan’. He highlighted future plans of the University, achievements of the students. On the occasion, VC Professor Mishra presented a beautiful idol of ‘Ramlala’ as memento to the Governor and the Minister. Fine Arts students presented a colourful portrait of the visiting guest. The duo guests were welcomed by presenting shawl, shriphal. The convocation procession was impressive with degree holders dressed in traditional Kurta Pyjama and saffron headgear. Minister Parmar on the occasion dedicated ‘Maharishi Parashar Bhavan’ on the theme of ‘Gramoday Se Rashtroday’ at University campus.
