Local lass Veenu Halkare has brought laurels to name of her family after getting selected for post of English stenographer at District Court, Jashpur. From last six years, she was preparing day and night for her competitive exams. Many time, she could not clear exam by mere margin of a few numbers. But she did not lose her will power and was motivated by her parents and teachers to continue working hard. Finally, her hard work paid off and she was selected for the post of English stenographer and has been posted at Disrict Court, Jashpur, Chhattisgarh. She is the first girl from Lalburra town for getting selected in this tough and prestigious exam. Veena is the daughter of retired teacher Deviprasad Halkare. and Savitri Halkare, both residents of Kanjai.
 
Veenu has owes the credit of her success to her parents who provided her equal opportunities to prepare for her exams. She prepared for her exams under the guidance of her teacher and guide Damendra Dhaneshwar and Khan sir. As she was preparing for post of English stenographer hence her teacher Dhaneshwar too gave her additional time to guide her. She has appeared for other prestigious competitive exams and is waiting for the results. She is hopeful of clearing the exams.
