NAGPUR’S Rehnuma Alam has been selected in the Indian softball team which will be participating in the 4th Asian Universities Championships to be held at Taipei from October 17 to 21. Rehnuma, who comes from an economically weak section, has performed well in various age group national championships. She has won medals at the junior nationals and senior nationals as well.

 

On the basis of her performance she was picked in the Indian team. She is coached by Dr Darshana Pandit. Dr Surajsingh Yeotikar, NMC Sports Officer Dr Piyush Ambulkar, Roshan Vaikunthi, Kisan Chaudhary, Dr Vivek Awasare, Nikhil Mohite, Vinod Surduse, Pranay Sukhdeve and others congratulated Rehnuma for her selection in the Indian softball team and wished her luck for future tournaments.
