A three-and-a-half-year-old girl was allegedly molested by her tuition teacher’s son in the city. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening and the girl’s family filed a complaint with the police on Wednesday. The girl’s mother noticed marks on her body and informed the neighbours, who in turn informed some right wing activists. The activists then took the survivor and her mother to the Bagsevania Police Station where they demanded the arrest of the accused and an FIR to be registered. A protest was staged there due to delays in the FIR. The girl’s mother stated that she suspects the 19-year-old son of the tuition teacher, who lives nearby, of committing the crime. The police have sent the girl for a medical examination and further action will be taken based on the medical report. The right wing activists have demanded strict action against the accused. They have also demanded that the house of the accused be demolished. It was further learnt that the girl’s family is poor, and her mother works as a domestic help. The girl’s father is not alive.
