Nikita Porwal from Ujjain crowned Miss India

Femina Miss India 2024 crowns Nikita Porwal from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh as the winner this year, along with Rekha Pandayy, representing Union Territories, standing as runners-up. The finale of the 60th edition of this pageant was held on Wednesday night in Mumbai and was attended by several celebrities. Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav took to his social media on Thursday to congratulate Ujjain’s daughter Nikita Porwal on winning the title of ‘Femina Miss India 2024’ and expressed his best wishes for her bright future. He stated that he hopes Nikita will represent India in the Miss World Pageant and bring honour to the country.
 
Notably, Nikita has been working since her teen years and began her career as a TV anchor. She is also a passionate storyteller and theatre artist, who advocates for animal welfare. Her victory will enable her to represent India at the upcoming Miss World pageant. Nikita in her victory was crowned by Nandini Gupta, former Miss India 2023 and sashed by actor Neha Dhupia. Besides, on the jury this year were Sangeeta Bijlani, the winner of Femina Miss India 1980, Nikita Mhaisalkar, filmmaker Anees Bazmee, actor Neha Dhupia, choreographer Bosco Martis, and filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar.
