FIREFIGHTER of Fire Brigade Department of Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) was found dead in suspicious circumstances at the muddy area by Kurud Road in Kohka, Bhilai. The police said that it appeared to be the case of suicide in view of statements of eyewitnesses and prevailing circumstances. The police have ruled out the possibility of homicide case. Police sources informed that the deceased has been identified as Nandkishor Pardhi (38), a resident of Saket Nagar, Kohka, Bhilai. The police said that at about 10 am on Friday, Nandkishor Pardhi was found dead in the muddy area that located by Kurud Road in Kohka, Bhilai. Upon information, a Jamul police team rushed to the spot and took the body into custody. As a part of investigation, the police established the identity of the body on basis of belongings it recovered from the spot and sent the body for autopsy.
 
The police are further investigating the matter. Kapildev Pandey, Station House Officer, Jamul Police Station informed that there was hardly any fresh injury marks and the body was recovered from the muddy area that located by Kurud Road in Kohka, Bhilai. The deceased, identified as Nandkishor Pardhi was serving as Driver in Fire Brigade Department of BSP but he was under suspension for over a month period. According to the family members, at about 10 am on Thursday, Nandkishor Pardhi had left home and he was missing since then. Nandkishor Pardhi was suffering from psychological disorders and he had earlier attempted suicide thrice by consuming poison and by hanging self. Nandkishor Pardhi was seen sitting on his two-wheeler in the area previous evening, the eyewitnesses told to police. Earlier, Nandkishor Pardhi was serving in Chhattisgarh police. He was serving in BSP’s Fire Brigade Department for last twelve years.
