A shocking incident of theft occurred at the Shri Chitra Vichitra Hanuman Temple located near Gate No. 115 in Bairagarh Kalana. The temple was targeted by thieves who broke the lock of the donation box, reportedly stealing an amount estimated between Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000. The incident took place on Thursday evening when the thief managed to empty the donation box, leaving the temple authorities and devotees in disbelief. Following the theft, the temple priest and several devotees rushed to report the matter to the Khajuri police station. Upon receiving the complaint, Head Constable Sanjeev Jha confirmed that a First Information Report (FIR) had been filed. He assured that the police are actively investigating the case and that the culprit would be apprehended soon.
 
“This is a disgraceful act; even God is not spared in this Kalyuga,” people remarked, emphasising the seriousness of the crime. Police have arrived at the scene to gather evidence and assess the situation. They are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the temple to identify the thief. Additionally, officers are interviewing local residents and potential witnesses to gather more information about the incident. The temple, which is a significant place of worship for many in the area, has been left reeling from this incident. Devotees have expressed their anger and disappointment, highlighting the disrespect shown towards a sacred space. Local residents have also voiced concerns about safety in the area, particularly around places of worship. The temple management is urging anyone with information regarding the theft to come forward and assist the police in their investigation.
