Anay, Raima emerge champions

 

Raima Chavan from bengaluru and Anay Sumant from Pune emerged champions of the MSLTA-NDHTA Under-12 All India Ranking Championship Series CS7 at the MSLTA Tennis Academy, Ramnagar. In the girls singles, Raima Chavan beat Shuchita Tripathi 6-3, 7-5 to lay her hands on the trophy. In the boys section, Anay had to work out hard to beat Kolhapur’s Akhilesh Chavan 7-6(7), 6-4 for title.

 

The boys doubles title was secured by Nagpur’s Pranav Gaikwad and Ethan Lahoti who defeated Akhilesh Chavan and Anay Sumant 7-5, 4-6, (10-8) in the final. Nagpur District Hardcourt Tennis Association Joint Secretary Vikram Naidu conducted the prize distribution function. NDHTA Secretary Dr Sudhir Bhiwapurkar alongwith Ashok Bhiwapurkar and Ganesh Pagay gave away the trophies. The tournament was conducted by Vishal Landge and team. Wasim Sheikh was the supervisor.
