World is what you make of itd

Have you ever felt like the world is against you? What if I told you that your perception of others and the world could change your reality? Let me explain. One day, I was feeling extremely irritated. Everyone around me seemed to be bothering me, and for no fault of their’s. I would think, “Why are these people even here? They should go away. They argue about pointless things.” But deep down, I knew nothing would change if I kept thinking this way. It wasn’t the world that needed to change, it was me! So, I made a conscious decision to look for good in every person in my life. I realised that just like everyone has their own weaknesses, they also have their strengths. Slowly, I began to see what was beautiful in each person and what each one of them could teach me. Instead of squirming worms, they became butterflies- each unique, colourful and with something special to offer.

Each person taught me something, helping me become the best version of myself. We cannot change the people around us. Some philosophers say, we live in a world full of people for a reason. Without them, life would be too easy and boring, devoid of meaning or challenge. The people around us exist to make us grow, to shape us. We always have a choice. We can either think positively or negatively- it’s all about perspective. If we choose to see the good, our mindset shifts, and the world becomes a place of colour and learning. Next time you find yourself irritated or overwhelmed by someone’s behaviour, try changing your own lens. You might be surprised by the beauty and lessons you discover in the most unexpected places. Think positive before you think negative! Moral of the story is, what you think, happens. As Rumi has said, “It’s not the eyes that are blind, but the hearts”.
