Swimmer Ishwari pockets 3 golds

 

NAGPUR’S ace para swimmer Ishwari Pande set the pool on fire claiming triple golds in the 24th National Para Swimming Championship that concluded in Panaji, Goa on Monday. Visually impaired Ishwari, participating in the S11 Junior Category, pocketed three gold medals. She won the 50m back stroke with a timing of one minute and 11 seconds. Her second gold came in the 50m freestyle event. She clocked a mere 57 seconds while her one minute and 27 seconds in the 50m breaststroke earned her the third yellow metal. Ishwari is a member of Shark Aquatic Sporting Association and trains at NIT Swimming Pool under the watchful eyes of NIS swimming coach Sanjay Batwe.
