Shukla As two temples in State allegedly received a bomb threat, the Police Department has beefed up security and intensified search at various places across the State, informed an official familiar with the matter. An alleged threat letter was received by Hanumangarh Railway Station Superintendent in Rajasthan. It was issued in a hand-written letter by a person claiming to be the commander of terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed. A bomb squad has been deployed in Ujjain situated world-famous Shri Mahakaleshwar temple on Wednesday afternoon. A case has been registered with the GRP police station and efforts are under way to track the sender. Along with religious places in the State, the said letter also threatened bomb blasts at several railway stations in neibouring Rajasthan state as per the information. The threat letter mentions several railway stations and temples across Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. However, there is no official confirmation yet. Police stepped up the security at Mahakaleshwar temple and other prominent religious places in the State. Agency also deployed a bomb squad there.
 
Though the authenticity of the letter is yet to be ascertained. Ujjain Police is closely co-ordinating with Hanumangarh police station. The letter said to be written in Punjabi allegedly threatens to destruct several temples and railway stations in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan by bomb. The police of both states are in touch with each other. In view of the upcoming festival season, especially nine-day Navratri, Bhopal Police Commissioner Harinarayan Chari Mishra had held a station-wise meeting on Tuesday and directed officials to be extra vigilant in this month. He had directed police personnel to inspect each and every Garba pandal, idol procession and immersion route in the city.
