An important meeting of Police Department was organised with organisers of Garba programmes at police control room. The meeting was organised under the guidance of Superintendent of Police, Aditya Pratap Singh (IPS) to maintain law and order arrangements during ongoing Navratri and Dussehra festivals. Additional SP (City) Anand Kaladgi (IPS) chaired the meeting with Additional SP (Crime), Samar Verma, Additional SP (Traffic), Pradeep Kumar Shende, CSP, Adhartal, Priyanka Karcham, CSP, Kotwali, Ritesh Kumar Shiv, CSP, Omti, Pankaj Mishra, CSP, Ranjhi, Vivek Kumar Gautam, CSP, Gohalpur, Rajesh Singh Rathore, CSP, Cantt, Udya Bhan Singh, CSP, Garha, Devendra Pratap Singh, CSP, Bargi, Sunil Nema, DSP (HQ), BS Gothariya, SHOs and representatives of 75 Gaba Committees attended the meeting. The meeting centered around detailed discussions regarding the arrangements for the Garba events. Organizers were reassured that all necessary measures would be taken to ensure fluent operation of proceedings of Garba. Adequate police forces, including plainclothes officers, would be deployed for patrolling at Garba venues and nearby areas to keep a vigilant eye on any antisocial activities.
 
A consensus was reached during the meeting that Garba events will be held only until the sixth day (Sashti) to allow devotees to visit Durga idols during the subsequent days of the festival. Garba organizers were given necessary directives for maintaining law and order arrangements and avoiding any kind of inconvenience to devotees include Garba events must conclude by 11:30 PM, participants will be provided with identity cards and the organisers will make arrangements for their transportation, organisers must inform the local police and municipal authorities about the location, number of participants and guests and secure necessary permissions for sound systems, ensuring that the volume does not disturb nearby areas, access to the Garba venue will be allowed only to pass-holders after proper security checks, no personal belongings will be allowed inside, Garba dance will be conducted in traditional attire and only religious performances will be allowed to prevent offending religious sentiments, organizers will ensure proper parking arrangements to avoid any inconvenience to the public, emergency exits should be make by the organizers at all Garba venues, organizers are required to deploy security guards and volunteers in designated uniforms and provide a list of names to the respective police station, separate queues for men and women will be ensured to prevent any inconvenience, emergency lighting and firefighting equipment must be available at all Garba venues to handle any emergencies, and CCTV cameras must be installed at key locations, including entry/exit points, to monitor activities. Besides this, organizers must ensure the use of high-quality electrical wiring and avoid using damaged cables while making sure they are out of children’s reach. The police emphasized the need for strong coordination and vigilance to ensure a safe and smooth celebration of the Durga festival.
