HOPE

 
This is a new beginning, they say
Forget the past, It’ll take time, 
Be optimistic, pessimism won’t help 
But it will be fine, they say.
Turning the pages of my life’s diary 
I hope whatever they say stands true
I hope after all the time it takes 
I finally get a life anew.
I hope I won’t be like the others 
Sulking in the past
And at the end of everything 
There is a silver lining at long last.
