ON THE auspicious occasion of Shardeeya Navaratri, a large crowd of devotees is gathering at the Mata Mangala Gauri temple. Standing in long queues, they are seen offering prayers to the divine Jyoti Kalash, seeking their desired blessings. Since the first day of Navaratri, there has been a particularly noticeable influx of unmarried girls, young men and their families. Mahant of Mangalaguri Mandir Dham, Acharya Daivagya Pandit Ramesh Sharma of Shankaracharya Ashram, noted that during Shardeeya Navaratri, special programmes are being organized, including the Shat Chandi Yagya.

Each day, learned Brahmins perform 108 Shri Durga Saptsati Path and make 108 offerings. Daily recitations include Shri Sukta, Kanak Dhara, Durga Sahastra Naam, Hanuman Chalisa, Ram Raksha Stotra, Aditya Hridaya, and Devi Bhagwat. Besides, Rudrabhishek, Shiv Path and the chanting of the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra are also performed every day at the esteemed Lord Shri Chandramaulishwar Mahadev Temple. This Navaratri also features a Mata Seva singing competition every night at the temple, showcasing songs from nearby villages. Devotees can enjoy free Bhandara and accommodation at the Ashram. A Mangal Jwara has also been established within the temple grounds, providing relief to those who seek its blessings.
