GIVING boost to industrial
growth of the region, Deputy
Chief Minister Devendra
Fadnavis on Monday performed bhoomipoojan of two
mega projects - Avaada Electro
Private Limited’s integrated
plant and Pernod Ricard India’s
malt distillery and maturation
facility, here at Butibori industrial area. Both the projects are
coming up in the Additional
Butibori MIDC Industrial Area
at a distance of less than two
kilometers.With an investment
of Rs 13,650 crore, Avaada
Group is setting up an integrated solar plant in Butibori
MIDC area, which is expected
to create more than 5,000 jobs.
Manufacturing in the first phase
of the plant will start by MarchApril 2025.
On then other hand, Pernod
Ricard India, a worldwide leader
in the spirits and wine industry, is setting up Asia’s largest
malt distillery and maturation
facility in Butibori.
This is a significant first-step in the realisation of the company’s memorandum of understanding
(MoU) with the Government of
Maharashtra, signed in
February 2024. At the foundation stone laying ceremony of
the Pernod Ricard India facility, Fadnavis said more than
90,000 farmers of the region
would be benefited from it.“The
plant will huge quantity of barley which will grown in nearby
areas. It will certainly open up
new chapter in the Vidarbha’s
crop patter,” he said. Jean

India; Prasanna Mohile,
National Head- Corporate
Affairs; and others attended the
event. During the similar event
at Avaada Group’s site, more
than 50 per cent of the employees in the plant will be women.
Vineet Mittal, Chairman of
Avaada Group; Suresh Soni of
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh;
and others were present on the
occasion.
