THE 9th Ayurveda Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute in the city on Tuesday. To mark the occasion, a walkathon rally was organised under the guidance of Dr Milind Suryavanshi, officiating Assistant Director of the institute. A large number of people enthusiastically participated in the walkathon. In the afternoon, after the DhanvantariAbhishek, the 9th AyurvedaDay celebration and award distribution ceremony was held.

 

Dr Dhanraj Gahukar of the Ayurveda Panchakarma Hospital andResearchCenter; Joint Commissioner Bhagwati Gaonkar, and Dr U R Shekhar Nambury, Senior Scientist, were prominently present at the event. Winners of rangoli, poster, and essaycompetitionsorganized fromOctober18 to29were awarded during the event. Dr. Milind Suryavanshi also administered theoathof truthfulness to all the employees during this period. At the outset, he welcomed the guests alsodeliveredawelcome speech. In his address, Dr Dhanraj Gahukar said that the treatmentofbodyandmind is possible only in India and expressed faith in Ayurveda, stating thatAyurvedahasa vital role in the current lifestyle. Dr Priya Thackeray, C N. Nandeshwar and others were also present.
