Two other kids rescued by villagers in nick of time after one boy cried for help to save his friends 
 
In a tragic incident, two little kids met their watery grave while three of them were rescued from drowning into Hiran river at Wasan Ghat under the jurisdiction of Patan police station, on Tuesday. The deceased have been identified as Uday Barman (12), Munnu Barman and Kartik Patel (11), son of Guddu Patel, both are residents of Guru Mohalla in Patan. SHO of Patan police station, Naval Singh Arya informed that police received information about drowning of some boys in the Hiran river at Wasan Ghat. Learning about the incident, police reached the spot and learnt that five boys of Guru Mohalla including Kartik Patel, Uday Burman, Tannu Raj Raikwar, Kanishk Rathore, and Sujit Raikwar reached Hiran rivar at Wasan Ghat for a bath. When they were bathing in the river Sujit Raikwar came outside but other four boys reached the deeper part of the river and failed in swim back to the bank. Witnessing his friends drowning, Sujit shouted for help when some villagers dove into the river and managed to rescue two of the drowning boys include Tannu Raj Raikwar and Kanishk Rathore.
 
Till the villagers managed to rescue Kartik and Uday, they breathed their last into the river. The rescued boys were rushed at District Government Hospital where two of them Kartik and Uday were declared brought dead and condition of two rescued boys is reported to be stable undergoing treatment at the hospital. Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem after conducting Panchnama. Patan police have registered intimation while further investigation is underway.
