The Gandhi Nagar police cracked a murder case and arrested one accused. The accused was working in the house of the deceased and committed the murder of his boss as he was hitting on his fiancee often making derogatory remarks against her. According to the police, on November 12, a complaint was lodged by Radhika Mehra, a resident of Eintkhedi, stating that her brother-in-law, Mahesh Mehra, had gone missing. During the investigation, the police found that Mahesh Mehra’s colleague, Raghuvir Ahirwar, had been working with him in Gandhi Nagar’s New Basti area, setting up swings for children. Raghuvir revealed that Mahesh was the owner of the swings and would often make inappropriate comments about Raghuvir’s fiancee. On Sunday, after closing the swings, Raghuvir and Mahesh consumed alcohol in New Basti. Raghuvir’s relative, Narendra Ahuja, also joined them.

The three then went to Lalghati on Mahesh’s two wheeler and later headed towards Eintkhedi Bypass. While on the way, Mahesh, under the influence of alcohol, started making inappropriate comments about Raghuvir’s fiancée again. Raghuvir became enraged, and he and Narendra planned to eliminate Mahesh. They took Mahesh to a deserted area near Aerocity Road, Badwai Junction, where Raghuvir attacked Mahesh with a stick. Mahesh fell to the ground, and the duo then hit him on the face and head with a large stone, resulting in his death on the spot. The accused then dragged Mahesh’s body to a nearby drain and hid it. They fled the scene on Mahesh’s motorcycle. The police took Raghuvir to the crime scene, where he led them to the drain and pointed out the location of Mahesh’s body. The body was identified by Mahesh’s brother, Deepak Mehra. The police have registered a case of murder against Raghuvir and Narendra and are investigating further. Raghuvir has been arrested and was produced in court on Wednesday. The police are still searching for Narendra.
