Mohod strikes as YMFC edge past Qidwai

 

Siddhanth Mohod scored in the first half as Young Muslim Football Club edged past Qidwai Club by a solitary goal in the ongoing JSW-NDFA Elite Division League Tournamnet at Dr Ambedkar Stadium in Suyog Nagar on Friday. The all-important goal was scored in the 36th minute of play. Qidwai got a chance to level the score but YMFC goalkeerp Abdullah Ansari made an excellent save.

 

In Senior Division, Xciteplay thrashed Shakti Club by fourn goals to nil with Ram Ambade scoring a hat-trick in the 16th, 19th and 71st minutes. Mohd Kaif scored the other goal for Xcityplay in the 55th minute of play. Sportians blank Pune Sportians Football Club Nagpur started their campaign on a winning note in the Maharashtra Under-15 State Youth League Football Tournament under way at Lonavala. In their first match, Nagpur’s Sportians FC beat Mania FC Pune 2-0. Virat Patil put Sportians ahead in the 34th minute of play and Azaan Khan doubled the lead on the hour mark.
