Dakshindas, Gaikwad, Pohanestart with opening round wins

 

 

PRANAV Gaikwad, Akshat Dakshindas, Heramba Pohane, Bhavya Porwal, Bhargav Vaidya and Vihaan Pongde started their campaign in the MSLTA NDHTA All india ranking CS7 Tennis Tournament on a bright note at NDHTA Courts in Ramnagar. In the opening round matches played on Monday, Gaikwad rallied to beat Eklavya Rajput 4- 6, 6-1, 7-5 while Dakshindas beat Dhruv Mor 6-2, 2-6, 6-3. Pohane fought hard to quell the challenge from Krishna Rani winning the match, 4-6, 6- 1, 6-4 while Porwal defeated Ahaan Shori 4-6, 6-4, 6-4. In the girls section, Mishka Tayde defeated Ishika Pal 6-0, 6- 1 while Pranjali Pandure beat Reet Agarawal 6-0, 6-1. Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Ashok Bhiwapurkar, Vice-President and Vikram Naidu, Joint Secretary, NDHTA.

 

Vishal Landge conducted the matches. Dr Sudhir Bhiwapurkar is Tournament Director and Vijay Naidu is Tournament Secretary. Doubles matches will start from Tuesday and tournament will go on till Friday .
