THE Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) along with Green Vigil Foundation conducted an awareness programme on Friday under the ‘Purnima Diwas’ campaign. Ontheoccasion, themembersof the foundation including Kaustav Chatterjee, Surabhi Jaiswal, Sheetal Chaudhary, Bishnudev Yadav, Priya Yadav, Shriya Joge,TusharDeshmukh, Parth Jumde, and Pinaki Banik, conducted the drive at Abhyankar Nagar T-Point nearVNIT Gate.ViplavBhagat ofNagpurMunicipalCorporation was also present.

 

The members urged the shopkeepers and citizens to switch off electric lights for one hour as part of the initiative. The drive received good response as many locals took active part in the drive. Many local shopkeepers and even residents of the Abhyankar Nagar switched off lights on the full moon day. The objective of the drive is to minimumuseof streetlightson the full moon night.
