412 absconding warantees nabbed during ‘Night Combing Operation’

Continuing a rigorous campaign ‘Night Combing Operation’ against absconding criminals and warrantees, police have nabbed total 412 absconding warrantees in the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday. It may be noted that under the direction of Superintendent of Police, Sampat Upadhyay (IPS) police are conducting a special night combing campaign under the supervision of Additional SP (City), Anand Kaladgi (IPS), Additional SP (Crime), Samar Verma, Additional SP (Traffic), Pradeep Kumar Shende, Additional SP (Rural), Suryakant Sharma, Additional SP (Rural), Sonali Dubey, CSPs, DSPs and SDOPs to apprehend the absconding warrantees and taking preventive action against listed criminals.
 
During the night combing, 2 to 3 teams from every police station led by SHOs and Sub Inspectors conducted a rigorous search for warrantees and absconding criminals from 12 midnight to 5 am on Thursday. Police have apprehended 184 non-bailable, 228 bailable warrantees and 156 arrest warrantees who were absconding since a long time. The special campaign will be continued in coming days for implementing preventive policing in the district and maintaining law and order arrangements in the district.
