THE SHS campaign 2024 commenced on September 17 with a
gamut of activities laying emphasis on cleanliness and environmental sustainability under the
theme “Swabhav
Swachhata -
S a n s k a a r
Swachhata.
The highlight of
this year campaign
was the construction of ‘Waste to Art Sculpture’
model made of 1.6 tons aluminum scrap which was installed
in Ranilaxmibai Udyan Public
Park, Wadi National Highway
NH-6 with the theme “Recycle
today for a better tomorrow”.
The model was inaugurated
by Union Minister for Road
Transport and Highways Nitin
Gadkari in the presence of Dr
Agnihotri Director JNARDDC and
Dr V Deshmukh, CEO Nagar
Parishad, Wadi; R Vishakha andR Srinivasan, Nodal Officers of
JNARDDC.
The institute organised a Safai
Mitra Shivir cum TB camp for all
workers and Safai Karamcharisof JNARDDC inpresence of WHOofficials. Presentduring the campwere DrVidyanandGaikwad, DrSanket NandekarWHO official of
Vidarbha region.
volunteers participated during
cleanliness drive and disposedoff 1.5 tones dry waste andcleaned the CTU SmrutinagarDuttawadi Nagpur.
Under “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”initiative a mass plantation drivewas undertaken in presence of
Dr Vijay Deshkumh, CEO, NagarParishadWadi, wherein employees and citizens planted morethan 50 plants at Smruti Nagar,
Wadi, Nagpur.
