11 Aqua club swimmers to swim for 26 hours

 

 

 

 

TO COMMEMORATE the 75th anniversary of Indian Constitution, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Jaltaran Talav Tairak va Palak Manch, Vaishali Nagar and Aqua Sports Club, Vaishali Nagar will be organising a 26-hour swimming relay on Nov 25. Eleven swimmers between the age of six year and 14 years of Aqua Sports Club will swim non-stop (in turn) for 26 hours and will attempt to enter their effort in Limca Book of Records. Addressing a press conference, coach Bhola Ambade said that the swimming relay will be held at Dr Babasahed Ambedkar Swimming Pool, Vaishali Nagar.

 

 

“The relay will be flagged off by Municipal Commissioner Dr Abhijit Chaudhary at 8 am. Each swimmer will swim for over two hours circling the pool. The swimmers include six years old Ruhan Waghmare, Gargi Hiware, Yutika Bansod, Aasawari Dahapute, Shravani Parate, Dev Wasnik, Maulik Bawankule, Ronak Satpute, Shourya Waghmare, Ojas Janbandhu and Taha Wardhawala,” informed Ambade. The relay will be held under the supervision of Dr Pravin Lamkhede and Vishal Chandurkar. The relay will end on November 26 at 11 am. Lamkhede, Chandurkar, Shashikant Chahande, Mangesh Gadre and others were present during the press conference.
