Police launch special drive to check suspicious individuals, drunken driving

 

 

 

 

Jabalpur police has launched a special drive for checking suspicious individuals and drunken driving in the district. The special drive has been started under the direction of Superintendent of Police Sampat Upadhyay for checking suspicious elements and addressing illegal alcohol consumption and drunken driving. Police officers of urban and rural areas, as well as gazetted officers, have been instructed to conduct foot patrols in markets and public areas to maintain law and order and carry out checks on suspects.

 

As a part of this initiative, police are focusing on areas around liquor shops and public places to check liquor consumption in public places. Operation also targets those involved in illegal activities related to alcohol sales and consumption. Separate police teams under the supervision of Additional SP (City) Anand Kaladgi, Additional SP (Crime), Samar Verma, Additional SP (Traffic), Pradeep Kumar Shende, Additional SP (Rural), Suryakant Sharma, Additional SP (Rural) and Sonali Dubey led by gazetted officers and SHOs of concerned police stations are conducting thorough foot patrolling in their respective areas to ensure strict security measures. The initiative aims to strengthen public safety and curb issues related to illegal alcohol consumption in both city and rural areas.
