MP Dubey examines progress of Ring Road with senior officials of NHAI

Member of Parliament Ashish Dubey held a review meeting with senior officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and representatives of construction companies to examine the progress of the Ring Road project. During the meeting, Dubey directed officials to ensure that the construction work is completed on time, maintains the highest quality standards and minimizes inconvenience to the public. Central Government’s Bharatmala initiative, is an ambitious project aimed at improving connectivity and reducing traffic congestion in Jabalpur. With an estimated cost of Rs 3,500 crore, it will be the longest Ring Road in Madhya Pradesh. The project is being executed in multiple phases by various companies under NHAI’s supervision. During the meeting Dubey emphasized the transformative impact of Ring Road, which is expected to redefine Jabalpur’s urban infrastructure and accommodate future traffic growth.
 
He instructed the NHAI Project Director Amrit Sahu and other officials to provide monthly updates on the progress and report any challenges immediately so that swift action can be taken to resolve them. He also stressed the importance of integrating the Ring Road with logistic parks and key city areas to ensure smooth connectivity for residents. He highlighted the need to design entry and exit points that facilitate the seamless movement of vehicles while reducing traffic bottlenecks. He directed construction agencies to prioritize quality and adhere to the highest standards throughout the project. He also discussed the proposed bridge over river Narmada which is a critical part of the Ring Road. MP Dubey said the project would not only ease traffic pressure but also accelerate Jabalpur’s development. He said the Ring Road will also play a pivotal role in enhancing the city’s connectivity and driving its growth as a metropolitan hub.
