DEPARTMENT of Civil Engineering (NBA Accredited Diploma Programme) of Suryodaya College of Engineering and Technology, Nagpur conducted a one-week Faculty Development Training Programme (FDTP) recently on the topic ‘BIM and IoT: Transforming the construction industry for the future’. The event was sponsored by Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE).
 
The event focused on the revolutionary role of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and the Internet of Things (IoT) in reshaping the construction sector. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members. Eminent speakers from academia and industry shared their expertise, discussing how integrating BIM and IoT fosters productivity, sustainability, and innovation.
 
The FDTP was applauded for bridging the knowledge gap and equipping educators and professionals with cutting-edge skills to lead in the evolving construction industry. The programme was inaugurated by Dr Manoj Daigavane, Joint Director DTE, RO Nagpur in the presence of Dr V G Arajpure, Principal SCET Nagpur, Dr V G Parhate, CEO and Vice-Principal SCET, Nagpur. The programme was coordinated by Manish Gawai, Rushali Mane, Nikhil Raipure and all polytechnic staff. The Chairman of the Institute Deepak B Chafle, Ranjeet Chafle, Secretary SCET, Abhishek Belkhede, Director SCET, Dr Rasika Chafle, Registrar and MD, CSED appreciated the successful event.
