Ira players in Maharashtra hockey team

 

THE trio of Ira International School’s Athulya PS, Yashasvi Kubde, and Shrawani Tulankar participated in the selection trials held on September 27 at Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune. The camp took place from November 16 to November 23. All the girls are selected for 14th Hockey India Sub-Junior Women’s National Championships (Under-17). Yashasvi has been announced as the captain of Team Maharashtra. Team departed from Pune on Sunday. The team is coached by Sagar Karande, with Reeta serving as the team manager. The team members are Amber Sayyed, Swanandi Kadam, Tejewini Karve, Nikita Vetal, Vaishnavi Khandare, Nysa Countinho, Janhavi Chavan, Prachi Panchore, Gunjan Baviskar, Arpita Sarode, Shifa Mulani, Chaitrali Hanchate, Taleesa Vaz, Anvi Rawat, Swara Gajarmal. Team Maharashtra has been placed in Pool G and will compete against Hockey Punjab, Hockey Gujarat, and Assam Hockey. Their first match is scheduled against Assam Hockey on November 26, followed by a match against Hockey Punjab on November 29, and their final pool match against Hockey Gujarat on December 2. These three promising players have been trained by coach Shahid Bux with the encouragement of their Principal Manish Sathe.
