Teenager raped by truck driver in forest in Raisen

 

 

A 15-year-old girl was raped by a truck driver in State’s Raisen district on Saturday. The teenager was accompanied by her 21-year-old male friend. When the accused took the minor girl deep into the forest to sexually assault her, the young man was restrained by two associates of the accused and beaten up by them. As per information, the minor and her friend were returning after visiting Vandevi temple in the area. They stopped their motorcycle near Siyarmau forest on Silwani-Sagar Road, some 110 kms from the district headquarters. After which, the couple went inside. At the same time, a truck broke down and its driver Sanju Adivasi (21) entered the forest and spotted the duo. After the three accused left, the victim and the youth made their way to the road and alerted passing police officers. Police registered a case against Sanju Adivasi and his associates Shivnarayan Adivasi and Akshay Ahirwar.

 

Sanju and Shivnarayan have been arrested, while Ahirwar is still at large. Notably, the teenager and her 21-year-old male friend were returning from visiting Vandevi temple in the area when they parked their two-wheeler and entered the forest. At the same time, a truck broke down, leading its driver, Sanju Adivasi (21), and his two friends to enter the forest, where they encountered the girl and her friend. The trio assaulted the young man and seized the key to his motorcycle, according to the FIR.
