‘Sathi Abhiyan’ campaign fororphans open till November 30

 

 

The Maharashtra Government offers 1 per cent reservation quota for orphans in education and Government jobs 

 

THE Maharashtra government is implementing a campaign called ‘Sathi Abhiyan’ through Women and Child Development Department wherein the department is offering Orphan Reservation Certificate.The campaign is open till November 30. The Maharashtra government offers 1 per cent reservation quota for orphans in education and government jobs. The Women and Child Development Department of Maharashtra offers an Orphan Reservation Certificate.

 

The department alsohas a network of residential careinstitutions for children in needof care and protection. The department issues certificates in this regard throughthe office of the Divisional Deputy Commissioner. Children who lost both parents before turning 18 are eligible forit. However, many eligible orphans do not have access tothis facility and they cannot getthe certificate. Thus they cannoteven avail the schemes meant forthem. For details about the campaign, eligible persons or their relatives may visit the office ofthe District Women and Child Welfare Officer.
