Appreciating the gesture of Maharashtra caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in support of the decision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the post of the Chief Minister of the State, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, State Bharatiya Janata Party President, said, “The person of the stature of Eknath Shinde showing magnanimity by extending his support by which giving more importance to mega alliance must be lauded. It will make NDA stronger and strengthen the Mahayuti. I extend my gratitude towards Eknath Shinde for his stand.” Chandrashekhar Bawankule said that Eknath Shinde has decided to support the decision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah on the government formation and the Chief Minister’s post.

When asked about other plans, Bawankule revealed that Shinde and other leaders of Mahayuti constituents will sit together with the BJP’s central leadership to take a final call on nature of the government, distribution of portfolios etc. Attributing the credit to Eknath Shinde for playing significant role in keeping Mahayuti intact, Bawankule stated, “Shinde is a fighter and has done a great job and earned a name as successful Chief Minister of Maharashtra”. Bawankule criticised the opposition for raising doubts over EVM functioning. “We approached the voters with all positivism and tried to spread a good impression about our works. This has helped the MahaYuti to get 52 per cent votes against 32 per cent by the Maha Vikas Aghadi,” pointed out Bawankule.

Good understanding in Mahayuti: Fadnavis

“One must have noticed the understanding among the Mahayuti constituents. It is the crux of our victory in assembly polls. I appreciate the way Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and chief of Shinde group of Shiv Sena stated that he would respect the decision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Our all constituents showed the understanding and unity among us. It will continue. We don’t have any indiffernces among us,” said Devendra Fadnavis while talking to mediapersons at his residence in Dharampeth. Fadnavis had come to Nagpur, stayed for five hours and left for Mumbai.
