The Nagpur Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society (NOGS) has organised an annual conference at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Nagpur, on November 30 and December 1. NOGS has come up with a week-long novel activities including box cricket tournament and art exhibition for the members. The two-day conference will include live operative robotics and laparoscopic gynaecological surgeries workshop along with IAGE (Indian Association of Gynaecological Endoscopists) and FOGSI endoscopy committee. GMCH, Nagpur has a state-of-the-art OT and Robotics operating system, first in central India. Around 25 operating faculties will demonstrate 30 various cases. Dr Raj Gajbhiye, Dean, GMCH; Dr Shailesh Puntambekar, Dr Leena Mehrotra, Dr Sudha Tandon, Secretary IAGE are the star operating faculties along with 25 others.
 
This workshop will help the postgraduate students, budding gynaecologists and aspiring endoscopists to learn newer techniques and technologies and at the same time the patients will also be benefitted by the surgeries. The academic session of the conference will be held at Hotel Centre Point, Ramdaspeth, from 8 am to 5 pm on December 1. During the conference, paper, poster and interesting case videos presentations and award sessions for clinicians and post graduate students will be held. It will have three orations by renowned faculties like Dr Sunita Tendulakar, set to become who is next FOGSI President; Dr Suvarna Khadilkar and Dr J Rangnathan from Malaysia.
 
Dr Sunita Tandulwadkar will be the chief guest while Dr Raj Gajbhiye and Dr J Sanghathan will be the guests of honour. Life time achievement and NOGS Ratna awards will be confered in the conference during the inaugural session of the conference, informed Dr Sandip Nikhade, President of NOGS and Dr Rujuta Fuke, Secretary. A novel concept of art exhibition — ‘Artmosphere’ will be organised at IMA Annex Building. The participating NOGS members will display their art in the form of paintings, flower arrangement, rangoli, sculptures and craft work. Also, literary work of NOGS members in the form of poems, prose, books also will be displayed. Renowned artist Sadanand Borkar will inaugurate the art exhibition. Similarly, instrumental music and live music for all music lovers will be held.
