Seoni: Farmers complain of water shortage during Kisan Chaupal

Dinesh Rai Munmun, MLA from Seoni Assembly constituency, put up Kisan Chaupal in the premises of Irrigation Department for grievance of farmers problems. In which farmers of many areas informed about problems including water, electricity and other problems. Due to the incomplete works of the Pench Defection Canal and less provision of water for irrigation under Seoni assembly constituency, the farmers present on the spot informed about the problems being faced by the farmers in farming. Instructions were given to departmental officers to resolve the problems. The farmers complained of Seoni branch canal not starting on time, water not reaching the entire Bakhari branch canal, incomplete work of the Kalarbanki area canal and no water for irrigation yet and demand was made for completion of incomplete works of Mynner Canals.
 
Along with this, discussion was done in relation to micro lift irrgation. At Kisan Chaupal, MLA, Dinesh Rai asked the problems of farmers and departmental officials to be resolved. They were agreed to inspect the said canals and make them aware of the incomplete works, along with this, the authorities said that approval from the Central Government for Micro Lift Irrigation and survey in the area. Where irrigation is not being done through the canal, irrigation will be done from the lift. Apart from this, the complaints of the farmers have instructed the officials of the Vidhyut Company to provide adequate electricity for timely replacement of burnt transformers, diagnosis of voltage problem, providing adequate electricity for timely irrigation.
