Tightening noose on littering menace

The Jabalpur Municipal Corporation has intensified its efforts to curb littering and maintain cleanliness in public places. Municipal Commissioner Preeti Yadav has issued clear instructions to Health Department officials to conduct daily inspections in the city. They have been directed to take immediate action against anyone found littering or causing unhygienic conditions. She also asked to impose heavy fines. Following the orders, the health department has started implementing strict measures.
 
The officials levy a heavy fine of Rs 10,000 on Kapil Khatri for spreading garbage in public place. Assistant Health Officer Dharmendra Raj informed that Khatri’s commercial vehicle was caught dumping garbage near the main road near Vehicle crossing. Following the same, spot fine of Rs 10,000 was issued and he was warned not to repeat the offense. Health Inspector Anant Dubey and Ward Supervisor Lakshman Badel were present during the action. The JMC administration has reiterated its commitment to maintaining the city's cleanliness and will continue taking strict measures to deter such activities.
