Sumit’s late goal gives SECR a point

 

 

SUMIT made most of the opportunity that came his way in the added time to salvage a draw for SECR earning them a point in a drawn game against Rahul Club in the JSW NDFA Elite Division league championship. The high octane match ended in a 2-2 draw NDFA Sahyog Nagar ground Nagpur. Aman put SECR ahead in the 20th minute of play scoring directly from a corner kick. Just three minutes later, Rahul’s Badal Soren levelled the scores at 1-1 with a spectacular goal after dodging at least four rival players.

 

Badal was again instrumental in the second goal for Rahul. He made a perfect high cross to Suffiyan who scored through a header in the 69th minute for a 2-1 lead. In the dying minutes of play, Rahul’s goalkeeper could not neatly collect a long ranger and the deflection was promptly put in by Sumit. MOIL will take on IFFC Chankapur at 3.00pm on Monday.
