Swimmer Tanvi for State meet

TANVI Sukhdev Dhurve, a ninth-grade student of Swaminarayan School, has qualified for the Maharashtra State Swimming Championship, scheduled to take place at Pune’s Balewadi Stadium from November 5-8. Tanvi earned her place at the State event following a fine performance at the divisional school swimming competition held in Wardha on September 25-26. At the Wardha competition, Tanvi clinched first place in both the 100m and 200m butterfly events and took second spot in the 400m individual medley. Her achievements in these categories secured her qualification for the upcoming State meet.

Earlier this year, Tanvi won a bronze medal at the National Water Polo Championship, reflecting consistent performance across competitive swimming and water polo events. Tanvi trains at Roshan Swimming Academy under National-level coach Roshan Chaudhary, who has been guiding her preparation and skills development. School officials, including Sports Officer Sandeep Khobragade, physio trainer Dr Kevin Agrawal, Hari Nayar, School Chairman Jignesh Patel, Headmistress Shweta Khandelwar, Vailesh Unhekar, PTI Riyaz Kazi and other teachers have expressed their support and congratulated her for state-level qualification.
