Gun for Glory Shooting Academy Jabalpur’s Shivom Chouhan clinched a silver medal while 11 shooters including Shivom have qualified for National Competition in the recently held 11th West Zone Shooting Competition in Pune.
A total of 31 shooters from the academy participated in the event, with pistol shooter Shivom Chauhan securing a silver medal by scoring 375 points. It is also a matter of pride that Shivom, along with 10 other shooters, has qualified for the National Shooting Competition, scheduled for December.
The West Zone competition is considered a pre-national level event, where shooters from Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu participate.
This competition offers shooters a chance to qualify for the National Championship.
Since 2014, a total of 174 shooters from the Gun for Glory Shooting Academy have qualified for the National Championship. All shooters are trained under the guidance of Senior Coach Nishant Nathwani, Assistant Coach Shakti Chakraborty and Coach Sangeeta Pasi.
The shooters who have qualified for the National Competition include Harshita Sharma, Shiny Sahu, Arya Rawat, Kshitij Lodhi, Ashvika Vaidya, Kopal Agarwal, Yash Chaubey, Aditi Patel, Kush Motwani, Shivom Chauhan, Navya Goswami and Revansh Shukla.
