The temple at the Ayodhya extension area of the city will remain on its place. This decision was taken in a meeting held on Friday which involved both parties where the complainant gave a no objection signal to the temple being at the place if it does not pose any disturbance to their ‘quality of life’. Talking to ‘The Hitavada’, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Raveesh Shrivastav said that a meeting was convened on Friday where both parties were invited for talk. “In the meeting, residents of the colony said that they don’t have any objection to the temple being on the place which is built near a shed in the area. On the other hand, the complainant highlighted the problem of loudspeakers being played at the place and that causes disturbance.”

The official further stated that both finally reached a settlement where the complainant side that they have no problem to the temple being on the place on the condition that there should be no loudspeakers or any other disturbances due to the temple. Notably, protests sparred in the city on Thursday at Ayodhya Extension when a team of encroachment department of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC), police personnel and Tehsildar, Govindpura gathered at a site at Ayodhya extension for removing a temple which was claimed to be an encroachment. The officials have said that the complaint was filed by an individual who was a resident of the same colony. Acting upon the complaint when the team went to the spot for taking action, they witnessed crowds of right wing organisations, gathered at the spot. The workers of the organisations staged a demonstration against this act and opposed a removal of the temple. They also chanted Ramdhun and Hanuman Chalisa as a mark of protest. Due to the same, the anti-encroachment team had to return. The protesters said that the site is revered by the residents of the colony and the people there worship the deity consecrated in the region.
