 On Friday, Misrod police arrested an individual namely Sunny alias Raghav alias Raghavendra Singh (28), a resident of New Ambedkar Nagar, Kolar road over his connection in a robbery case. Stolen gold items worth Rs 4.8 lakh were also recovered. As per information, on October 28, a robbery was reported at BDA colony in Salaiya. The complaint stated that an unknown thief had broken into the house during the daytime and stolen gold and silver jewellery. Following this, a case was registered under Sections 331(3) and 305(A) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) and an investigation was launched. After the robbery case was filed, the police immediately formed a special team to investigate the crime.
 
 
The team reviewed footage from 40-50 CCTV cameras in the Misrod area and surrounding regions, and analysed technical evidence. Additionally, a tip-off was received that the suspect was seen riding a red scooter in the vicinity of Salaiya. The police team, based on the description provided, conducted inquiries at Khajanchi square near Salaiya. While questioning passersby, they spotted a man riding the scooter. Upon seeing the police, the suspect tried to flee, but the police, with the assistance of local witnesses, successfully apprehended him.
 
The suspect was identified as Sunny alias Raghav alias Raghavendra Singh. During interrogation, Sunny confessed to the crime and revealed that he, along with his younger brother Lucky and friend Vijay Dindoriya, had committed the theft. The stolen gold jewellery and the scooter used in the crime were recovered. Sunny was subsequently arrested. The Stolen goods include gold bangles, gold necklace, gold earring, chain, rings and tops. With the arrest of the main accused, Sunny, and the recovery of the stolen goods, the police are now focusing on apprehending the remaining suspects, Lucky Rajput and Vijay Dindoriya who are still on the run. This arrest is considered a major breakthrough in addressing theft and robbery incidents in the Misrod area. The investigation continues, and efforts are being made to track down the fugitive suspects.
