‘Copy of Bhagwad Geeta, Ramcharitmanas, Ramayan to now be present in State hotels’

The State Government is now planning to taken an initiative to keep one copy each of Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta, Valmiki Ramayana and Ramcharitmanas in the hotels of the state for tourists/researchers, Director, Directorate of Culture, NP Namdeo said on Monday. Significantly, on the occasion of Geeta Jayanti, the Madhya Pradesh Government, Culture Department will be organizing the International Geeta Mahotsav on 11 December 2024 at Lal Parade Ground, Bhopal. In this event to be held from 11 am, more than 5000 Acharyas will recite the Karmayoga chapter of Shrimad Bhagwad Gita together. An attempt will also be made to include this Gita recitation in the Guinness World Record.
 
On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav will be present. Director, Directorate of Culture N.P. Namdeo said that organizing the International Geeta Mahotsav will be an important effort in the preservation of Indian culture and heritage. This festival is also being organized in Ujjain and Indore along with Bhopal, in which art presentations of Vaishnav Gyan Tradition are being organized. Apart from Gita recitation at Lal Parade Ground, Bhopal, there will also be a performance by the famous Sadho Band and companions, Mumbai. Apart from this, an initiative will also be taken to keep one copy each of Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta, Valmiki Ramayana and Ramcharitmanas in the hotels of the state for tourists/researchers. A picture exhibition is also being organised in the programme, in which pictures based on ‘Gau Evam Gopal’ and ‘Shrimad Bhagwat Puran’ will be displayed.
