AIIMS Bhopal, under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Ajai Singh, Executive Director, hosted the MPCG Chapter - AROICON 2024, the State Conference of the Association of Radiation Oncology of India (AROI), recently. The event brought together representatives from across Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, with the central theme ‘Recent Advances in Radiation Oncology: From Traditional to Cutting Edge’.
The prestigious conference focused on the latest developments in radiation oncology, aiming to foster collaboration and drive innovation in the field. Postgraduate students, faculty, and experts engaged in insightful discussions and presentations on new trends and technologies shaping cancer treatment.
In his address, Prof Singh emphasised the vital role of radiation oncology in cancer treatment, highlighting the integration of traditional methods with modern technologies to enhance patient care.
“This conference is a crucial step in fostering collaboration, advancing innovation, and shaping the future of oncology in India,” he said.
Prof Singh also delivered the Prof (Dr) M S Dwivedi Memorial Oration 2024, on the topic ‘Orthopedic Oncology in India: Current Status and Future Predictions’. His address underscored the importance of interdisciplinary approaches and innovations in Oncology.
The two-day event underscored the significance of networking and collaboration in advancing cancer treatment and research in India.
