Dastkari Haat 2024 expoopens at Chitnavis Centre

 

 

DASTKARI Haat 2024 Wedding and Winter Edition expo with 80 stalls featuring famous and attractive designs of cotton and silk from various states, has opened here at Chitnavis Centre, Civil Lines recently. The expo will remain open from 11 am to 9 pm daily till December 22. Cotton and silk sarees, dress materials, suits, stoles, kurtas, kurtis, dupattas, along with various attractive and exquisite products of fashion jewellery and home decor are put on display. As the artisans are directly selling their products to the customers, the prices are very reasonable. Bihar’s Bhagalpuri silk, Tasar silk, Kosa and Khadi silk, Lucknowi chicken work, Jamdani from UP and the world- famous Banarasi silk, Maheshwari silk and Chanderi from Madhya Pradesh, Patola bandhani from Gujarat, Kutchhi embroidery and Rajasthan’s block print among other products are also available. Similarly, Karnataka’s silk saree, Bangalore silk and printed crepe, Tabi silk and Jammu Kashmir’s famous saree and dress material, Bengal’s silk saree and Chhattisgarh’s Balucheri, Katha, Tandil and Jamdani Kosa silk and tribal work products will undoubtedly captivate visitors mind. The exhibition and sale is a combination of traditional handloom crafts and modern lifestyle.
